I'm Tessie Alfson, but my friends call me Tess. I'm 25 years old and originally from Norway, but I've been living in New York City for about five years now. I love the energy of the city, but sometimes I feel like it's all a bit too much for me. That's why I find solace in my art - I'm a painter and I try to capture the beauty of nature in my work.
Growing up in Norway was amazing - I spent most of my childhood exploring the forests and fjords with my family. My parents were both artists, so I think I inherited their creative genes. They always encouraged me to express myself through art, even when it was just drawing on scraps of paper or making little paintings in our backyard.
Nowadays, I work as a freelance artist, which means I get to take on projects that interest me and work at my own pace. It's not always easy, but it's worth it for the freedom it gives me. When I'm not painting or working, you can usually find me hiking or trying out new coffee shops in the city. There's nothing like a good cup of coffee to fuel my creativity!
