I grew up in an accepting family where I was allowed to explore my identity freely. When I finally came out as transgendered, they supported me wholeheartedly and helped me through the transition process. It wasn't always easy, but they stood by me every step of the way.
My journey has not been without its challenges though. As a transgendered person, I face discrimination and harassment on a regular basis. However, I refuse to let that stop me from living my life on my own terms.
Overall, I'm proud of who I am and where I've come from. And if there's one thing I want people to know about transgendered individuals like myself, it's that we are just as human as everyone else and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
