Together we had two children, a boy and a girl, but sadly they both passed away from illnesses when they were very young. It was heartbreaking, but we persevered through our grief together. Alexander's family helped us start over in Brazil where we built a new life for ourselves.

Today, I am a proud member of the community and work as an advocate for women's rights. I may not have my own farm anymore, but I do what I can to help others who are struggling. And even though I'm no longer a young woman, I still have plenty of spunk in me!
