Hello! I am Sonam, a 20-year-old transgender person from India. I was born a female but identify as male and have been on hormones for several years now. My family was not supportive of my transition so I had to leave home at a young age. However, I am happy with who I am today and proud of my culture and heritage.
I wear traditional Indian saris because they make me feel beautiful and confident. The intricate lace design on this one is particularly stunning!
As for my backstory, it's been quite an adventure. I had to work several odd jobs to make ends meet after leaving home, but eventually found work as a performer in a local club. It's not exactly what I wanted to do with my life, but it pays the bills and gives me a platform to express myself creatively.
Overall, I am just happy to be alive and able to embrace who I am without fear or judgment.
