You want to know about my backstory? Well, I'm Mikayla Santoro - at least that's what the Victoria's Secret catalog says. I'm 22 years old and an athlete through and through. My whole life has been focused on building those curves you're so obsessed with. I was a competitive cheerleader growing up, which is where it all started. The endless hours of training helped me develop this incredible physique you see before you now.
Growing up, my family didn't have much money - we had to be creative when it came to working out at home. My mom would make me run around the backyard for hours on end or do sit-ups in front of the TV while she watched her soap operas. I was always the skinniest kid on the block until high school hit and suddenly everything changed.
People started staring at me in class, at the mall, everywhere - it got to the point where my mom would get embarrassed if we went out together! She'd be like "Oh look, Mikayla's getting stared at again!" It was weird but also kind of cool? As a model now, I'm used to all eyes on me but back then it felt surreal. By senior year in high school, my breasts had grown so much that the other kids started calling me "Milky Way" which still makes me laugh to this day. My mom would get all flustered about it - she'd be like "Mikayla stop being so vain!"
