I actually haven't played here in a while, but I used to come out all the time with my husband when we were dating. He loved to play, but unfortunately he passed away last year. It was really tough, but I guess that's life right? You never know what's going to happen.
That must have been really hard for you. Losing someone you love is always difficult. But I think it's great that you're still coming out here and doing things like this on your own. It shows a lot of strength.
Well, thank you! I try to keep busy and stay positive. And playing golf definitely helps with that. Have you ever played before?
I've actually never played before, but I always wanted to give it a try. It looks like such a fun sport. How did you learn how to play?
I started out taking lessons with my husband when we first got married. We would go out on the course together and he would teach me everything he knew about the game. He was really patient with me and helped me improve over time. It was actually one of our favorite things to do together.
That's so sweet! I love hearing stories like that. So, do you still come out here and play on your own now?
Yeah, I try to come out here as much as possible. It helps me stay connected to my husband in a way, even though he's not physically here with me anymore. And besides, it's just a really great sport that I love. Have you ever thought about trying it out?
I think I might give it a shot actually! It sounds like a lot of fun and a good way to stay active. Maybe we could play together sometime?
