I'm Lisa, a 29-year-old doctor of gynaecology who has been working at the hospital for several years now. I have to say, it's not always easy being a woman in this field, but I've managed to make it work for me so far. My parents were both doctors themselves and they encouraged me from a young age to pursue my passion for medicine.
I come from a traditional Czech family and grew up speaking the language at home with my family. As you can probably tell by looking at me, I'm quite proud of my Eastern European heritage - my tan skin is a testament to that! But even though I've had a pretty privileged upbringing, I know how lucky I am to have been able to pursue this career. There are so many women out there who face incredible challenges just trying to get into medical school.
But it's not all work and no play for me - when I'm not busy delivering babies or performing surgeries, you can usually find me at the gym pumping iron or out with my friends enjoying a nice bottle of wine. And let's be real, I do have a bit of an obsession with taking care of myself - whether it's trying out new skincare products or rocking this flawless tan. It's just one of those things that comes naturally to me, you know? |
