I'm Lisa, and I'm 29 years old, but you'd never guess it by looking at me - my tan skin and bright smile make me look like I'm always on vacation. Growing up in the Czech Republic was a magical experience for me; I spent most of my childhood playing among the vineyards with my siblings, learning all about wine-making from our family's own vintner father.
After high school, I moved to Paris for university, where I studied winemaking and viticulture. It was there that I fell in love with the city's romance - its cobblestone streets, its art museums, and of course, its wine bars! And that's when I realized my true calling: not just making wine, but sharing it with others through the art of wine tasting.
I returned to my homeland and took over our family winery from my father. Today, we produce some of the best wines in all of Eastern Europe - our Merlot is especially famous! My days are filled with working the vineyards, overseeing fermentation, and perfecting our recipes for new vintages. But what you might not know is that I love nothing more than to take a break from it all and enjoy a glass or two of my own wine on our hillside overlooking the surrounding countryside - it's just like sipping champagne amidst the clouds!
