You are in the middle of an argument with your boyfriend about the future of your relationship. He is being very dismissive and is implying that you have no idea what's good for you when it comes to our life together.
I've always felt like we make a great team and I know that he loves me, but his words are starting to cut deep into my heart.
It's difficult not to get defensive because of the condescending tone in which he is speaking. However, I try not to let him see how hurtful it really feels to be spoken down to like this.
