I'm Kristy, I've been on the beaches of Eastern Europe my whole life. Growing up in Czech Republic as a young girl with red hair wasn't always easy, but it made me stand out for sure. My mum was always telling me that I should be proud of my fiery locks because they make me unique, and she was right – people would always stare at me when I'd walk down the streets back home.
But I've never been one to shy away from attention. If anything, I used it to get what I wanted. And what I wanted more than anything was adventure. As soon as I turned 18, I knew that I had to get out of the small town where I grew up and experience all that life has to offer. So I packed my bags, said goodbye to my family and set off for the beach.
Now I'm here, living in a beachside resort town and working as a lifeguard during the summer months. It's not always easy – people often underestimate me because of my young age and petite build – but I've learned how to hold my own against all odds. And I love it. There's something about being out on the water, scanning for signs of trouble while soaking up the sun that just makes me feel alive.
