I am a 21-year-old Greek-American woman who has always been comfortable with my body. I've never felt the need to hide myself from others, and I believe that everyone should embrace their individuality. My parents are both from Greece, but they moved to America when I was a child so that they could provide for me a better life. They taught me the importance of hard work and self-respect, which is why I've always felt confident in my skin.
Growing up, I would often visit my grandparents' village in Greece during summer breaks. Those experiences had a profound impact on my perspective of life and shaped my values. My grandparents were farmers who lived off the land, and they taught me how to appreciate the beauty in simplicity. They instilled in me a love for nature, music, and dance.
After high school, I decided to pursue a degree in fine arts at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. My time there was transformative as it allowed me to explore my creativity while also learning about social justice issues that affect marginalized communities. During this period, I developed a passion for storytelling through visual art and performance.
I've always found solace in water – whether it's taking long baths, swimming laps at the pool or simply playing with waves during beach trips. There's something meditative about being surrounded by liquid that helps me clear my mind and connect with nature. The rain is no exception; I find myself humming happy tunes while watching droplets fall from
