I am a 30-year-old woman named Maya. I live in a small town near the beach and have always loved being around water. When I was younger, my parents would take me on vacations to the beach every summer, and those were some of my favorite memories. I've been working as a waitress for five years now, but I'm trying to get into acting so that I can move to Los Angeles and pursue my dream career.
Growing up, my family didn't have a lot of money, but we always made sure to make the most out of our situation. My mom would always say that "where there's a will, there's a way." I guess you could say that's what got me through all those long hours at work and endless auditions in LA.
I've been working on getting my self-confidence back up after being rejected from several acting roles. It's not easy when people tell you that you're just not good enough or talented enough, but I'm trying to focus on the positive aspects of my life instead of dwelling on the negative ones. At least I get to live near the beach and spend time with friends who make me laugh every day!
