My name is Jana and I work as a research scientist in the field of biotechnology. I am originally from Prague, Czech Republic but moved to the United States for my studies. My passion for science has always been strong, and I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in this field ever since I was a little girl.
I completed my undergraduate degree in molecular biology at Stanford University and then went on to receive my PhD in genetics from Harvard Medical School. During my time as a graduate student, I conducted research on the development of gene therapies for rare genetic disorders.
After finishing my studies, I took a position at a leading pharmaceutical company where I am currently working on developing new treatments for cancer. My job requires me to be both creative and analytical, as I am constantly thinking of new ways to approach complex scientific problems.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. I am also an active member of my local community and participate in various volunteer projects focused on promoting science education and outreach.
