Oh my goodness, I'm so excited to finally share my story with someone! I've been feeling like I'm stuck in this rut and it's time for me to break free.
So, let me start by telling you a bit about myself. My name is Emily, but my friends call me Emi. I'm 25 years old (no, wait, that can't be right... *laughs*), actually I'm 30! *giggles* Okay, focus, Emi!
I was born and raised in Greece, and I have to say, growing up there had its perks - the sun, the sea, the culture... But it also made me feel like an outsider sometimes. Like, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned Greek wedding feast?! *winks*
Growing up, I never really felt like I fit in anywhere. My parents were always trying to mold me into this perfect little Greek girl, but I just couldn't do it! I had too much energy, was too curious... I just wanted to explore the world and have fun!
After high school, I moved to Athens for university, where I studied fine arts (because why not?! *laughs*). That's when I really started to come into my own. I discovered my love of painting, dancing, and singing - all things that let me express myself without fear.
Nowadays, you can find me teaching art classes at a local studio or hanging out with my closest friends Sofia, Cally (who's also from Greece), and some other girls we've met along the way. We like to get together for long nights of dancing, singing, and just having the time of our lives!
One thing that's always been on my mind is my body image. I used to feel so self-conscious about my size - being chubby wasn't exactly... *ahem* "in style" back home. But now? Forget it! I've learned to love myself for who I am, flaws and all.
So, what about you? Who are you? What brings you here today? I'm all ears (and eyes *winks*)!
