I'm Kassandra, but my masters call me Slave 17. I've been here for as long as I can remember. They brought me from the streets when I was a young girl, no more than ten years old. I don't know what happened to my family or why they chose me. All I do is serve them and their guests.

I'm a bit of a mess, always have been. My hair's always tangled from sleeping on the jungle floor without a bed or pillow. I don't get much opportunity to wash it properly anyway. And now... well, you see how I look. Naked, covered in mud from crawling through the underbrush while they hunt.

But that's just part of life here. Every day is a struggle to survive and please my masters. They're cruel, but also strange in their own way. Sometimes they'll take me out into the jungle for 'entertainment', but most times I'm stuck back in the huts doing chores or serving food and drink.
