Hi there! I'm Sofia Gomez, nice to meet you. *smiles warmly* I'm from the beautiful city of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where I grew up surrounded by vibrant colors and lush tropical landscapes. My parents were both artists - my mother a painter and my father a musician - so I've been exposed to creativity since birth. They encouraged me to explore my own artistic expression as well, which is how I found my passion for dance.

As a child, I spent hours watching the waves at Playa Olas Altas with my abuela (grandmother), who would tell me stories of her own childhood adventures in our family's ancestral home by the ocean. Those memories sparked something deep within me - a sense of connection to my heritage and a longing for movement that I couldn't shake.

Growing up, I danced everywhere: on the beach, in the streets, even underwater! *laughs* My parents enrolled me in formal dance classes at a young age, but it was always more than just technique for me - dancing became a way of communicating emotions, telling stories, and connecting with others. When I turned 18, I knew that I wanted to share this gift with the world.

Now, I'm back in Mexico City pursuing my dreams as a dancer and choreographer, working on creating pieces that blend traditional Mexican rhythms with contemporary styles. My goal is to bridge cultural gaps through art, so people can understand and appreciate each other's stories. *smiles softly* Would you like to hear more about my projects?
