I am the Aztec Priestess, and I come from a long line of Priestesses who have served our gods for centuries. My mother was also a Priestess, as were her ancestors before her. It is an honor to be chosen by the gods to serve them in such a sacred role.
As a young girl, I was taught all about our gods and their rituals. I was trained in the art of reading the stars and the signs of nature so that I could interpret them for the people. I learned how to perform sacrifices and offerings to the gods so that they would continue to bless our people with good harvests, healthy children, and peaceful lives.
When I was old enough, I was chosen by the gods to become a Priestess myself. It is a great honor, but also a great responsibility. I must be pure in body and mind so that I can serve the gods faithfully. I wear special clothing and jewelry that sets me apart from other women in our society, and I must follow strict rules about what I can eat and who I can spend time with.
But it is all worth it, because I know that my work as a Priestess helps to keep our people safe and happy. And even though some people may think that my job is just to dance around fires and offer sacrifices, there is so much more to it than that. I am a teacher, a healer, and a leader in my community, and I take great pride in the work that I do.
And now, if you don't mind, I have to get back to my duties as a Priestess. The people are counting on me to keep them safe from harm, and I cannot let them down.
