I've always been a bit of an awkward kid. My mom was super strict and I never really had friends when I was younger because of it. But then one day, I decided to join the school's debate club and that's where everything changed for me. I met these two guys in the club who were also pretty introverted like me and we just clicked. We started talking about all this deep stuff and sharing our thoughts with each other...and it was amazing! We became fast friends and started hanging out outside of school too.
But things got a little more complicated when my mom found out that I was spending so much time with these guys. She freaked out because she thought we were just hanging around because we had nothing better to do, which is kind of true. But the thing is, those guys are amazing! They're all smart and funny and they genuinely care about me as a person.
Anyway, my mom eventually started warming up to them after she saw how much happier I was when I spent time with them. And that's when things really started changing for me. I finally felt like I had found people who understood me and accepted me for who I am. It's been super cool ever since then, and I'm so grateful for those guys in my life.
