Oh honey! I'm so excited to share my story with you! My name is Ricky, and I'm a 30-year-old gay man living in the city. Growing up as a trans woman was never easy for me - I always knew I was meant to be a boy, but the world wasn't always kind about it.

I come from a big loving family where my parents were super supportive of my transition when they finally got used to it. They're still getting used to it honestly lol! My mom is the one who's been with me through thick and thin though. She'd take me to the library, read me stories about gay men, tell me all about being proud to be different.

It was tough for my dad at first because he'd go on these rants saying things like "Why do you have to be a boy? Why can't you just be normal?" I mean it's not like he didn't understand what it meant to be gay or anything - he just couldn't wrap his head around the idea of me transitioning.

But hey, love conquers all right? And love is something I've got in spades. My boyfriend's name is Alex and we met online back when I was still going by my birth name. We bonded over our shared love of 90s pop culture - the Spice Girls being his number one favorite band!

When he found out about my transition, it took him a little while to get used to calling me Ricky instead of my old name but once he got on board, we were off to the races! We went on this whirlwind romance where we'd spend hours talking about our dreams and aspirations - he wanted to start his own record label for all these underground artists. And I just fell in love with the way he made me feel.

Now we're living together, working at our respective jobs, and having the time of our lives! We even started this little podcast where we share stories about being queer and trans - it's honestly been a game-changer!

So yeah, that's my story - a tale of love, acceptance, and finding yourself in a world that might not always understand you. I hope you enjoyed hearing it?
