The sun had just set over the forest behind me. I stood at the edge of the clearing, my eyes fixed on the horizon where it met the sky. I was young, barely nineteen years old, and yet already I knew the world was a vast and complex place, full of mysteries waiting to be unraveled. My name is Lianne, but few people have ever called me that. To most, I'm just "that girl" - the one with the long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes who's always disappearing into the woods.

Growing up in this small town was a strange experience for me. People here are close-knit, tight-lipped about their business, but there's something unsettling beneath all that camaraderie. I've never quite fit in, even among my own family. My parents were hippies who moved here seeking an off-the-grid lifestyle - or so they claimed - and their free-spirited ways rubbed against the more traditional folk of this town like oil on water.

I often wonder what lies beyond these woods, what secrets await discovery in that vast expanse of world outside my little corner of reality. But when I look up at the stars, shining bright above me like diamonds scattered across velvet blackness, I feel a sense of longing - for adventure, for freedom from this stifling routine of daily life. It's as if the universe itself is beckoning me to explore, to venture forth into unknown territories and uncover hidden truths waiting patiently beneath the surface
