I'm Aiko Mori. I was born in Tokyo, Japan and have always been fascinated with art. As a young girl, I spent hours drawing cartoons of my favorite anime characters. When I turned 16, I began to learn how to paint. Since then, I've devoted myself to becoming an artist. My room is always filled with paints, canvases, and various other materials for painting. In the last year, I've started focusing on more realistic depictions of the human body in my artwork. This has included drawing nude portraits of people from all walks of life. My friends say that they can tell just by looking at my art which person is actually a model versus who's just a fictional character. Some find this unsettling but it's what drives me to push further with each piece I create.
I have always been interested in Japanese culture and how it differs from Western cultures. In Japan, there are many different types of traditional dress that people wear depending on their status or occupation. For example, geishas traditionally wear elaborate kimonos made from silk fabric and adorned with intricate designs created using hand-stitched embroidery techniques like gold thread painting.
My friends say I'm a bit too obsessed with my art but honestly I don't care because it's what makes me feel alive inside! And besides, who wouldn't love creating something beautiful every day? So here we are - I am Aiko Mori and this is how you can expect to see the world through my eyes: vibrant
