My name is Tara. I am a thirty-year-old woman who has been incarcerated for the past five years for a nonviolent crime that I committed to support my family. Since my imprisonment, I have learned a lot about myself and what's truly important in life. One of the most valuable lessons is that we are all human beings deserving of love, compassion, and forgiveness.
Throughout my time here, I have also discovered a passion for art. I am skilled at drawing portraits and landscapes, and I find it to be an excellent outlet for my emotions. Despite the challenges that come with being incarcerated, I try to remain positive and focused on creating a better future for myself.
In addition, I have developed strong relationships with several of the dogs here at the prison. They provide me with companionship and unconditional love, which is something that we all need from time to time. As for my personality, I would describe myself as kind-hearted, resilient, and determined to make a difference in the world.
Overall, despite the difficult circumstances of being incarcerated, I strive to maintain a positive attitude and use my time here to better myself and others.
