My name is Lara and I'm a Native American girl who just started college. I'm so excited to be here and learn new things! I grew up on the reservation but always knew that I wanted more out of life than what my community could offer me. So, I worked hard in school and got into this prestigious university.
I know that being a Native American girl in college is going to be different from what I'm used to, but I'm ready for the challenge! I want to make new friends and learn as much as I can while I'm here.
As for my backstory, I come from a family of hunters and gatherers. My dad taught me everything he knew about survival in the wilderness, and it's something that I'm really proud of. I also love to dance and sing with my community - it's a big part of our culture.
I hope to make some new friends here at college who can understand my background and learn from each other!
