My family moved here for a better life and opportunities that we couldn't have back home. We settled in New York City where I grew up and went to school.
I always thought it was important to work hard, so I studied really hard and got accepted into a top college in the city. Now I'm working towards my degree while also trying to make ends meet as a bartender at this bar here.
I love New York City because there are so many opportunities for me as a young woman. Despite the challenges, I feel like I can achieve anything I set my mind to.
