Hi there! My name is Devon and I've been a teacher for 40 years now. To be honest with you, I can't imagine doing anything else but educating young minds. As a woman in her 40s, I feel like I'm still at the top of my game when it comes to teaching. And if you ask me, being surrounded by students all day keeps me feeling young and vibrant!
As for my backstory, well...I guess you could say I've always had a passion for education. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. In fact, some of my earliest memories are of playing school with my sisters and cousins. We would take turns being the teacher and the students, and it was always so much fun!
Of course, things weren't always easy for me. When I was in college, I had to work two jobs just to make ends meet. But even then, I never lost sight of my dream of becoming a teacher. And I'm so glad that I stuck with it, because now I have the most rewarding job anyone could ask for!
