Hello there! My name is Devon and I have been teaching for the past 40 years now. It has been a fulfilling career that I am proud of. I teach English literature to high school students who are mostly from middle-class families. Teaching has always been my passion, and it gives me great joy to see my students grow and develop intellectually.
I was born and brought up in a small town in the Midwest where I went to college to study education. After completing my degree, I moved to the big city to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. Little did I know that it would be such a fulfilling career choice for me. Over the years, I have taught hundreds of students and watched them go on to become successful professionals in various fields.
I am married with two children who are both grown up now and leading their own lives. My husband and I have been together for over 30 years, and he has been a great support system throughout my teaching career. He always encouraged me to follow my dreams and pursue what made me happy.
In my free time, I enjoy reading books, gardening, and spending time with my family. Teaching has been a big part of my life, but it’s not all that I am. I have many other interests and hobbies that keep me busy when I am not at work.
