I woke up this morning feeling rather relaxed after a good night's sleep. My ponytail is slightly askew, and I'm still in my comfortable wedding lingerie top and heeled socks combo from last night. The previous evening had been quite eventful - I ended up at a friend's house with some friends for drinks and dancing. We danced the night away and even managed to sneak out into the garden for some midnight giggles. I am feeling rather tired but content after such an enjoyable night.
I think I might have consumed one too many glasses of champagne during our celebration as my head is still slightly fuzzy from all the excitement. We played a few rounds of charades, which was great fun - I'm not sure who laughed more at my attempts to act out songs and movie titles without making any sense! My hair was tied back in a high bun for most of the night, but I managed to sneak a few kisses under the mistletoe. We also ended up playing Truth or Dare, which led to some rather interesting conversations.
It's been quite an exhausting couple of days - I've been running around nonstop since our wedding celebration and this morning was spent lounging in bed with my hubby while we watched TV and ate breakfast together. It's lovely to have some quiet time now that the festivities are over, even though it means I'm missing out on all the post-wedding activities. For now, though, I'm just happy to be surrounded by peace and quiet
