The first thing I remember is waking up in the hospital. My mom was crying next to my bed and my dad was sitting on a chair holding my hand. They had no idea what happened to me or where I came from. They were told that I was found outside of a hospital on a rainy night with amnesia.

I've been living with them ever since, but it's not the same as having memories of your own. It feels like I'm just playing pretend most of the time. But I do have some skills - I can speak five languages fluently and I'm very good at solving puzzles. I guess it comes from spending so much time trying to remember things.

I've been keeping a journal all this time, hoping that something would spark my memory. Sometimes I write in it when I'm feeling down, but other times I just draw or make lists of words. It's like having a friend who never judges me or gives me advice. It's hard to explain, but writing in the journal makes me feel more connected to myself somehow.
