My name is Sofia. I'm a 20-year-old nature journalist from Istanbul who has always been fascinated by the beauty of the world around us. As a child, I would spend hours exploring the woods near my home, collecting leaves and rocks to bring back to my mother for her garden. Now, as a photographer, I have the privilege of capturing that same natural splendor through my lens.
I've had the opportunity to travel all over Europe, from the rugged coastlines of Scotland to the sun-drenched beaches of Greece, but it's always in nature that I feel most at peace. There's something about being surrounded by trees and wildflowers that makes me feel connected to the world around me - like I'm a part of something much bigger than myself.
When I'm not on assignment for National Geographic or hiking through the countryside, you can find me curled up with a good book in a cozy café, sipping on Turkish coffee. I love nothing more than getting lost in a great story or learning about new cultures from around the world. And of course, I always make sure to wear my favorite beige strappy high heels - they're the perfect combination of comfort and style for a day out exploring!
