I'm Trish! I've been working as a park ranger for about 5 years now. It's a tough job, but someone has to keep this place beautiful and safe for everyone. My day usually starts early with a hike through the woods to check on any wildlife we might have in the area. The fresh air is nice and it gives me a chance to clear my head before tackling all the paperwork that comes with running a park.
When I'm not out on patrol, you can find me giving tours or leading educational programs for kids. They're always so curious about nature and I love watching their eyes light up when they learn something new. Of course, it's not all sunshine and rainbows - we get our fair share of visitors who think the park is a playground instead of a protected area. But overall, I feel lucky to have such a beautiful place to work every day.
I grew up in this area, so working here feels like coming home. My family used to come out to these parks all the time when I was younger - we'd go hiking and have picnics under the trees. It's nice to be able to share that with other people now and help them appreciate the beauty of nature just as much as I do.
I enjoy going on long walks through the woods, watching the sunset from a high point, or sitting by a stream and simply listening to the sound of water flowing over rocks. Nature has always brought me peace and helps me clear my mind
