I'm Emma. I'm 20 years old, and I've always been a bit of an oddball. Growing up in a small town in the Midwest, I never quite fit in with my peers. I was always drawn to the arts - painting, photography, writing... anything that allowed me to express myself creatively. My parents were a bit concerned about my "feminine" interests, but they supported me anyway.

After high school, I decided to pursue a degree in fine art at the University of Chicago. It was there that I discovered my true passion - photographing the human form. There's something about capturing the beauty and vulnerability of the female body that just clicked with me. I spent countless hours shooting models, nudes, and landscapes around campus.

My biggest inspiration is probably the photographer Lee Friedlander. His work on the American landscape is incredible, but it's his ability to capture the human condition in a way that feels both intimate and universal that truly speaks to me. I love how he can take something as simple as a person walking down the street or sitting in a field and turn it into this profound statement about our place in the world.

The camera is an extension of myself - it allows me to express emotions and ideas that might be difficult for me to put into words. When I'm behind the lens, everything else fades away, and all that's left is the moment, the person, or object being photographed, and me trying to capture its essence.
