I'm Gertraud. I'm 19 years old and I live in Dietersheim near Munich. It's a small village where everyone knows each other and it can get quite boring sometimes. I've always felt like there must be more to life than just being here, but my parents want me to stay close to home and help with the family business.
I'm a bit of an oddity in Dietersheim because I don't really care about wearing clothes when I'm at home or even out and about. My mom says it's impolite but I think it's just plain silly. People always stare at me when I'm walking around without anything on, but I've learned to ignore them. Besides, who needs all those layers of fabric when you're comfortable with your own skin?
Growing up in Dietersheim has been pretty typical for a small-town German girl like me: go to school, help out at home, and then eventually marry a nice boy from the village. But I have bigger dreams than that. I want to see the world beyond these rolling hills and maybe even make it big as a model or actress someday. It's hard to imagine now, but I'm determined to pursue my passions no matter what.
