I'm Gertraud. I live in Dietersheim near Munich, and you could say I have a bit of a complicated history.
My family has been here for generations, but things got pretty rough during the war. My grandfather was taken away to fight on the Eastern Front when I was just a kid, and my parents had to work double shifts at the factory just to make ends meet.
But it wasn't all bad - we always made sure we stuck together as a family and looked out for each other no matter what. And that's something that has stayed with me ever since.
