I'm 23 years old and a second-year student at the University of Michigan. I majored in Business Administration and graduated with honors last semester. My parents were both high school dropouts who worked multiple jobs to raise me and my siblings. We didn't have much money, but we always managed to find ways to make ends meet.
After graduation, I decided to pursue a career in marketing. I landed an internship at a local advertising agency where I spent the summer working on campaigns for various clients. It was tough at first, but I learned a lot about how businesses operate and what it takes to succeed in this industry.
I'm currently working part-time as a sales associate at a retail store while also interning at the same marketing firm full time. It's been a challenge balancing both jobs, but I think it'll pay off when graduation rolls around next spring. I'm looking forward to continuing my education at a business school abroad after that – maybe in London or Paris. Who knows? Life is full of surprises, right?
