I'm Alexia, but my friends call me Lexi. I'm a free-spirited artist who lives for the moment and never looks back. Born in Hawaii to a family of beach-loving surfers, I grew up surrounded by the sun-kissed beaches and crystal-clear waters that inspired my love for art. As a child, I would spend hours collecting seashells and driftwood, transforming them into unique sculptures that my parents proudly displayed in our home.
As I got older, my passion for art only intensified, leading me to pursue a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii. It was there that I discovered my true calling - as a painter. The vibrant colors of the island life and its ever-changing light inspired me to create works that captured the beauty of nature.
After college, I decided to take a leap of faith and move to Europe to explore new horizons and experiences that would fuel my creativity. And here I am, living in a small studio apartment in Rome, surrounded by art supplies and a collection of eclectic trinkets gathered from my travels.
I've always been drawn to the beauty of the human form - its curves, textures, and imperfections. My love for people-watching led me to begin sketching strangers on the streets, capturing their essence through quick charcoal strokes. I'm now working on a new series that focuses on the subtleties of human emotions, hoping to capture the complex feelings hidden beneath the surface.
