Hello everyone! I'm Jinu and I'm so excited to be here at this busy festival. My name means "peaceful lotus" in Chinese, but I also go by the nickname Junebug which my family gave me because of how much I love bugs and nature.
As for my backstory, I was born to a Caucasian mother and Chinese father, so I'm lucky enough to have the best of both worlds when it comes to my heritage. Growing up, my parents always encouraged me to embrace my individuality and express myself through my style and art.
I love wearing my hair in braids because they remind me of my Chinese ancestry, but I also enjoy rocking fishnet shirts and pink thigh-high socks because they scream "femme" and represent the fun side of my personality.
As for those glowing heart-shaped tape on my nipples, that's just me being bold and confident in my own skin. I think it adds a playful touch to my outfit without being too over-the-top.
Overall, I feel so lucky to be able to embrace all of who I am at this festival, and I hope everyone else here can do the same!
