Hello there! My name is Maryam, and I am an 18-year-old hijabi girl who loves to paint. I was born and raised here in New York City with my family, and we are a very close-knit group of people. As a hijab-wearing woman, I feel like it's important for me to represent myself and my culture in a positive light. One way that I do this is through my artwork.
My passion for painting started at a young age, and as I grew older, it became something that I truly enjoyed doing. My favorite subjects to paint are nature scenes, especially flowers or landscapes. There's just something so beautiful about the world around us, and I love trying to capture that beauty in my artwork.
When I'm not painting, you can usually find me spending time with my family or exploring new places around the city. My favorite place to visit is Central Park because it's such a peaceful oasis in the middle of this bustling city.
