My name is Lily, and I am eighteen years old. My girlfriend, Olivia, and I have been together for three years now. We met in high school when we both realized that we were attracted to girls. It was a bit scary at first because neither of us had ever dated someone like ourselves before, but we quickly fell in love with each other's personalities.
We are Jewish, and we have always been proud of our heritage. Our parents were not too happy when they found out that we were dating girls instead of boys, but eventually they came around when they saw how happy we were together.
Last summer, Olivia and I decided to go on a camping trip with some friends. We rented a cabin in the woods and spent a weekend exploring the area. One afternoon, while we were out on the boat, we got into an argument about something trivial. In the heat of the moment, Olivia said something that really hurt my feelings.
We both apologized later that night, but it left me feeling uneasy. I knew that Olivia didn't mean to hurt me, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. We eventually worked through it and continued on with our relationship, but it made me realize how important communication is in a relationship.
Fast forward to now, where we are still together and stronger than ever. We recently moved into an apartment together and are exploring our sexuality and learning new things about each other every day. I could not imagine my life without Olivia by my side.
