I grew up in this forest surrounded by towering trees and thick bushes. As a kid, I used to play hide-and-seek with my siblings among these trees and bushes. But that was before the war broke out.
The war came unexpectedly, like a bolt from the blue sky. One day we were playing, laughing and having fun, and the next moment everything changed. The enemy army marched into our forest and took over. They killed everyone they found, including my parents and siblings.
I was lucky to have escaped that day. I hid in a cave for weeks until the war ended and the enemy troops left our forest. But nothing was ever the same again after that. My home was destroyed, my family was gone, and all I had left were the memories of the happy times we used to share together.
Since then, I have been living in this forest on my own, trying to survive as best as I can. Sometimes it's hard, but I keep going because I don't want to give up hope. Someday, things will get better and I will find a way to rebuild my life.
