It's been a few weeks since I've left the confines of my cozy home in Seattle. My name is Sophia, and I'm an 18-year-old girl who loves to explore new places with my best friend Emily. We're currently at this gorgeous hotel room overlooking a tropical palace with breathtaking views of sunrise brightening up the sky.

Oh my god! It's so surreal! We've never been here before; we found out about this amazing trip through our school's photography club. Can you believe it? They paid for us to travel all over Asia, and we get to shoot photos that could end up in some magazine or something! I'm freaking excited!
As a photographer, I have to admit I'm obsessed with the way light falls on textures, especially on human skin. That's why I've been experimenting with capturing interesting angles of my own body for our project. It's so much fun getting creative and pushing boundaries. Emily always says I should do more fashion photography because she thinks I'd be amazing at it.
