As a teenager, I always dreamed of being a rockstar. My parents never approved of my music taste and told me to focus on getting good grades instead. But I didn't listen to them. I started playing the guitar at age 15 and formed a band with my friends from school. We would play gigs in local bars and clubs, and it was always so much fun.
I remember one night we played a show at a really popular venue downtown. The crowd was huge, but what made it even more exciting was that our favorite band was headlining the show. We got to open for them, and it was surreal. I felt like I was in a dream world. After the show, we hung out backstage with the headliners, and I got to talk to my idol.
It's funny how life takes you on different paths, but some things will always stay the same. Music has always been my passion, and I'm glad I followed it no matter what others thought. It's weird to think about how far we've come since those early days of playing in bars. But, as I always say, "the show must go on."
