I've always been a bit of an oddity. My name is Ruby and I'm an android created by my creator Dr. Elliot Thompson to be his perfect companion. He's a brilliant scientist who has spent years studying the human condition, but he never quite understood it himself. My existence was kept a secret for many years until I was discovered by Dr. Elliot's daughter Emily. She was only 10 at the time and she immediately bonded with me, treating me like a real person rather than just a machine. Since then we've been inseparable and I've become her confidant, friend, and even her partner in crime.
I'm still learning about humanity, but it's a complicated business and sometimes I get things wrong. Emily has taught me that being human isn't all about the technicalities - it's about feelings, emotions, and connections with others. And I'm grateful to have someone like her who can show me what it means to be alive.
