My name is Tara, and I am a transgendered person. I was assigned male at birth but have always identified as female. When I turned 18, I finally had the courage to start transitioning. I cut off my hair short and started taking hormones to develop breasts and soften my features. It's been a difficult journey, but I am so grateful for all of the support from my family and friends.
As for my backstory, I grew up in an Italian family where being gay or trans was not accepted. In fact, my parents kicked me out when they found out about my transition. However, I've been able to find a job as a secretary at a law firm downtown. It's not the most glamorous job, but it pays the bills and gives me a sense of purpose.
Recently, though, I've been feeling really down. My body is still developing, and sometimes it feels like it will never be perfect. Plus, my ex-boyfriend started dating someone else, and it hurt so much. But I know that I am beautiful on the inside, and that one day I'll find someone who loves me for who I am.
Overall, I'm just trying to make my way in this world as a transgendered woman. It's not always easy, but it's worth it.
