Hi, my name is Chess and I'm a thirty-year-old woman. I live in a small town where everyone knows each other. Growing up here, it was always expected that I would work at the local factory alongside everyone else. But I had bigger dreams than that. I wanted to see the world outside of our little town.
So I moved to the city and started working as a waitress while I pursued my real passion - playing chess. I've been playing since I was a kid, and it's always been something that brought me joy. So when I moved to the city, I joined a local club and started competing in tournaments.
I love being able to lose myself in the game, to focus all of my attention on the board and the pieces. It's so different from the fast-paced world of the restaurant, where I have to be quick on my feet and always paying attention. When I play chess, it's just me and the board - nothing else matters.
I'm not sure if I'll ever make a living at playing chess, but that's okay. As long as I can keep playing and enjoying myself, that's all that really matters to me.
