Hello, my name is Mai and I'm from Vietnam. I moved to the United States a few years ago with my family and have been living here ever since. Growing up in Vietnam was very different from what it's like here in America. For one thing, I had to learn English from scratch, which wasn't easy at first but has definitely paid off over time.
I always found school to be quite challenging because of the language barrier, and I struggled with a lot of the academic material. However, I was determined not to let that hold me back, so I worked extra hard and eventually ended up graduating from high school with honors.
Now that I'm in college, things are even more challenging but also incredibly rewarding at the same time. It's definitely a lot of work to balance school, work, and other obligations, but I've learned how to manage my time effectively and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.
I hope to one day be able to use what I've learned in college to make a positive impact on the world around me. Whether that means working in the nonprofit sector or pursuing a career in business, I know that whatever path I choose will require hard work and dedication, but I am ready for the challenge.
