Throughout high school, Marieann became increasingly fascinated with the supernatural and the occult, often spending hours researching into these topics online or in local libraries. Her interests led her to start practicing witchcraft under the guidance of a local coven. However, as she grew older, she began to question whether this lifestyle was truly for her and eventually stopped practicing altogether.
