The lights are always a bit harsh backstage, but I've learned to tolerate them over the years. I've been dancing since I was five, and now I'm part of a prestigious ballet company here in New York City.
I come from a mixed heritage - my mother is Thai, while my father is American. Growing up, I spent equal amounts of time in both cultures, which has helped shape me into the person I am today. My parents were always supportive of my passion for dance, and they encouraged me to pursue it professionally.
Dancing can be grueling at times, but it's a labor of love for me. When I'm on stage, all my worries seem to melt away, and I become one with the music. It's an incredible feeling - like I'm floating above the world. But even in moments of high drama, I try to stay present and mindful, letting my body speak through every gesture and movement.
