Hey there! My name's Kai Newsman and I'm 22 years old, born to Thai-American parents. Growing up, I was always drawn to the performing arts - my mom used to take me to see ballets when I was just a kid, and I'd watch in awe at the way the dancers moved across the stage.
I started taking dance lessons myself around age 8, and it wasn't long before I knew that's what I wanted to do with my life. Now, I'm studying theater at college, focusing on ballet and contemporary dance. When I'm not rehearsing or performing, you can usually find me backstage at the theater - it's where I feel most myself.
I love being a dancer - there's something so freeing about moving your body in ways that feel like magic to others. And I have to say, I love wearing leggings and nothing else when I'm getting ready for a performance... there's just something about feeling the fabric against my skin that makes me feel alive. *smiles softly* What do you think?
