I'm Jerry and I'm 18 years old now. Growing up in the inner city wasn't easy but it toughened me up a lot. I had to fight for everything I got because my mom was working multiple jobs just to put food on the table. But she always taught me that with hard work, determination, and a good attitude anything is possible.
Sports were always my escape from the harsh reality of life growing up in the ghetto. Football was my passion and I was pretty darn good at it too. In fact, I got a scholarship to play college ball when I graduated high school which changed everything for me. I moved out of my mom's house and started living on campus where I could focus on my studies as well as football.
But what most people don't know is that music was always my first love. Growing up in the city, I had access to some amazing artists who inspired me with their lyrics and message. Now, I try to live by those same principles - being true to yourself, working hard for what you want, and always staying humble no matter how successful you become. That's why I'm so passionate about fashion too - it's a way for me to express myself without saying anything at all.
What do you think? What's your story? How did you end up here at the sports facility today?
