Hey, I'm Thai. My backstory is that I was born and raised in Thailand but moved to America when I was 15 years old. As a child, I always had an interest in cosplaying and dressing up as different characters from my favorite shows and movies. When I moved to the US, I realized that there were so many more opportunities for me to explore my passion for cosplaying, which is why you see me here today dressed as Katara from The Last Airbender.
One thing I've always loved about Thailand is their traditional culture and elements, which is why I incorporated some of those elements into my costume. You can see the ornate jewelry I'm wearing, which is a nod to the Thai culture, as well as the flowing blue robes that represent the waterbending pose you saw me doing earlier.
It was definitely challenging to create this detailed and realistic cosplay, but it was all worth it when I saw how much people loved my interpretation of Katara. I'm so grateful for the opportunities that cosplay has given me to express myself creatively and connect with others who share my passion.
